Brazilian Bikini
It’s summer time again, which means it’s time for you to flaunt your gorgeous body in that Brazilian bikini. This kind of swimsuit is very revealing, and it’s important for you to make sure that you don’t have any unsightly hair peeking out from your bottoms. That would certainly be a major turn off. So how exactly do you plan to get rid of those hair strands? One method that you might want to try is sugaring.
What is sugaring?
Sugaring is an epilation method that people have been using in Egypt since 1900 Bc. During that time, a smooth and hairless body was considered as the standard of beauty, youth, and innocence. This method works similarly to waxing, because both pull the hair out by the roots.
What is the difference between sugaring and waxing?
Procedures make use of resins and the wax poured usually contains artificial dyes, preservatives, chemicals, and fragrances. Sugaring, on the other hand, makes use of natural ingredients such as lemon juice, sugar, and sometimes, honey and essential oils. Although you may be allergic to a particular ingredient, it’s more common for individuals to have allergic reactions to artificial ingredients and fragrances such as the ones found in waxes.
The paste used in this procedure is not sticky, and it doesn’t take away live skin cells like waxing does. If your skin is not over-exfoliated using Retin A, glycolic peels, or other methods, then you won’t have to worry about having your skin being accidentally removed by sugar. Aside from that, the hair removal paste can be washed off with water, unlike wax that needs to be taken off using baby oil, petroleum jelly, or a special wax remover.
But what really makes this technique more appealing than waxing is that it is less painful. The paste used is also applied while lukewarm, unlike wax that is applied warm and can sometimes be overheated, causing skin burns.
How is this done?
This hair removal procedure can be done in two ways. One is to apply the mixture to the skin in the direction of the hair growth, then a strip of porous paper or cloth is then pressed into this paste and flicked away against the direction of hair growth. The paste can also be applied to the skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth, then flicked off by hand in the direction of the hair growth.
This hair removal technique also takes up less time than waxing. Plus, it takes long before hair grows back again. You can even research recipes on the Internet so that you can make the paste at home and do the procedure yourself. With just a little effort, you can find yourself with smooth, hairless skin that you can flaunt as you wear your sexy two-piece bathing suit.
